# Address

Building and site address

The **Address** tab holds a postal address. You can assign it to the building, the site or both.

| --------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Purpose**                             | What the address is for, such as office or site. Choose user defined to enter your own. |
| **Description**                         | A short description of the address                                                      |
| **User Defined Purpose**                | Your own purpose, when **Purpose** is user defined                                      |
| **Internal Location**                   | A room or unit inside the building                                                      |
| **Address Line 1** / **Address Line 2** | Street and number                                                                       |
| **P.O. Box**                            | Post office box                                                                         |
| **Town**                                | Town or city                                                                            |
| **Region**                              | County, state or province                                                               |
| **Postal Code**                         | Postcode or ZIP code                                                                    |
| **Country**                             | Country                                                                                 |
| **Assign Address To Building**          | Write the address to `IfcBuilding`                                                      |
| **Assign Address To Site**              | Write the address to `IfcSite`                                                          |
