# Settings

Manage BEAM IFC settings

The IFC settings hold the document-wide information written to every IFC export. They are saved in the `.3dm` file.

Open **Document Ifc Settings** in either of these ways:

* Click the gear (**Ifc Settings**) in the tool row of the [panel](/beam/beam-for-rhinoceros/using-rhino-beam.md#tool-row).
* Click the gear in the [IFC Export](/beam/beam-ifc-for-rhino/export.md) dialog.

The dialog has four tabs:

| Tab                                                                   | What it holds                                                       |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Project Info](/beam/beam-ifc-for-rhino/settings/project-info.md)     | Project, building and site names and descriptions, site coordinates |
| [Address](/beam/beam-ifc-for-rhino/settings/address.md)               | The postal address of the building or site                          |
| [File Header](/beam/beam-ifc-for-rhino/settings/file-header.md)       | Author and organisation written in the IFC file header              |
| [Classification](/beam/beam-ifc-for-rhino/settings/classification.md) | The classification file for Uniclass codes                          |

Click **OK** to save your changes.
