# Settings

BEAM settings in Rhino®

Click the gear in the top bar of the [panel](/beam/beam-for-rhinoceros/using-rhino-beam.md#top-bar) to open **Settings**.

| Setting    | What it does                                                                                                  |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Theme**  | **Automatic** follows Rhino. **Light** and **Dark** force a theme for BEAM windows.                           |
| Machine ID | The ID BEAM uses to recognise this computer for licensing. It is read-only. Copy it when support asks for it. |
